Is it really free?
Yes, completely, with no download limit and no account. The site is paid for by a single advertisement shown on the preparation screen while your file is being readied. That is the whole business model.
Do I need to install an app or sign up?
No. It runs entirely in your browser on any device — Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac, Linux. There is nothing to install and no account to create, because we do not have user accounts at all.
Why is there a short wait before the download button unlocks?
That window is when the advertisement that funds the site is on screen. We keep it short, show real progress rather than a fake countdown, and never use a fake second download button or a pop-under. One honest wait is the deal.
Do you store the videos I download, or keep a history?
No. Files stream from the source platform straight through to your browser and are never written to our disk. We keep no account, no download history, and no copy of your media — there is nothing stored to leak or subpoena.
Is downloading videos legal?
It depends entirely on the video and what you do with it. Downloading your own uploads, Creative Commons or public-domain material, or content you have permission to save is generally fine. Re-uploading someone else's copyrighted work is not, and platform terms of service may restrict downloading independently of copyright law. You are responsible for what you download.
What is the highest quality I can get?
Whatever the creator actually uploaded — up to 8K on YouTube, 1080×1920 on Reels and TikTok, and up to 4K on Vimeo. We never upscale, because inventing a bigger file adds megabytes without adding a single pixel of real detail.
Why can't I download private videos?
Because the platform never serves them to an anonymous request. This is not a limitation we could engineer around — the file simply is not exposed. Any site claiming to download private posts is either lying or trying to collect your login.
Will the video have a watermark?
No. You get the file the platform serves, unmodified. On TikTok we specifically request the clean master rather than the copy with the moving username, so that watermark is not there either.
Can I download photos, or only video?
Photos too. Paste a photo post and it opens on the Photos tab with the picture at full resolution — and a carousel comes back as one row per slide, so you can take the whole set or just the one you actually wanted.
How do I download just the audio or make an MP3?
Paste the link, then switch to the Audio only tab. You will see the original untouched track plus MP3 at 320, 192 and 128 kbps. Take the original if you plan to edit — it skips a second lossy encode.
Why does the file size sometimes say 'approx.'?
Because the platform did not publish an exact byte count for that rendition, so we estimated it from the bitrate and duration. It is usually within a few percent. Rows without the label are exact figures reported by the source.
Does this work on an iPhone?
Yes. On iOS the file lands in the Files app rather than Photos — open Files, go to Downloads, and from there you can save a video into Photos if you want it in your camera roll.
A link failed. What should I try?
First open it in a private browser window. If it does not play there, it is private, deleted or region-locked, and no tool can fetch it. If it does play, copy the link again from the app's Share menu — feed links sometimes point at a profile rather than a specific post.
