Copyright & DMCA

We respect copyright and we take reports seriously. Please read the first section before filing, because it usually explains why a takedown notice sent here cannot achieve what you want.

We do not host any content

Stashlyo stores no media whatsoever. There is no library, no cache, no archive and no index. When a visitor pastes a link, the file streams from the original platform's servers to that visitor's browser and is never retained by us.

This means there is no file on our systems to take down. If a work is being distributed without permission, the effective remedy is a notice to the platform actually hosting it — YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and so on — who can remove it at the source.

What we can do

  • Block specific URLs or content identifiers from being resolvable through the service.
  • Block a domain or account from being processed where there is a repeated, substantiated pattern.
  • Cooperate with valid legal process.

Filing a notice

Send the following to dmca@stashlyo.app. Incomplete notices slow things down, so please include every item.

  • Identification of the copyrighted work you say is being infringed.
  • The specific URL or URLs concerned, precise enough for us to locate.
  • Your contact details: name, address, telephone number and email.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and — under penalty of perjury — that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

Counter-notices

If you believe something was blocked in error, send a counter-notice to dmca@stashlyo.app with the same contact details, identification of what was blocked, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was blocked as a result of mistake or misidentification.

Repeat infringers

We will block, and where appropriate permanently refuse to process, sources subject to repeated substantiated notices.

Misuse of this process

Knowingly filing a materially false notice carries liability for damages under applicable law. Please do not use this channel to suppress lawful criticism, commentary or reporting.
