By using Stashlyo you agree to what follows. We have kept it short and in plain English, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.
What this service does
Stashlyo takes a public media URL you provide, asks the source platform what renditions exist, and streams the one you choose through to your browser.
We do not host, store, archive or index any media. Nothing you download is written to our disks — the bytes pass through and are gone. We have no library, no search, and no catalogue of content.
Your responsibilities
You are solely responsible for what you download and what you do with it afterwards. You agree to use the service only for content you are entitled to save.
- Content you created or own.
- Content published under a licence that permits your use, such as Creative Commons.
- Content in the public domain.
- Content you have explicit permission from the rights holder to save.
- Any other use permitted by the copyright law that applies to you.
What you must not do
- Download content you have no right to copy, or redistribute someone else's work as your own.
- Circumvent paywalls, subscriptions, rentals or other paid access controls.
- Use the service in a way that breaks the law where you are.
- Attempt to overload, scrape, resell or automate the service. Rate limits apply and are enforced.
- Use the service to harass, stalk or endanger anyone.
Availability
The service is provided as-is and free of charge. Platforms change how they deliver media constantly, so extraction for any given site may break without warning, and we make no guarantee of uptime, success rate or continued availability of any feature.
We may add rate limits, restrict abusive use, or discontinue the service entirely at any time.
No warranty, and limits on liability
The service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including lost data, lost profits, or any claim brought against you arising from content you chose to download.
Third-party advertising
This site is funded by advertising. Advertisements are supplied by third-party networks whose content and conduct we do not control. Interacting with an advertisement is between you and that advertiser.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
