Privacy Policy

What we do not collect

• No accounts. There is no signup, no login and no user database.
• No download history. We do not record which links you resolved or which files you took.
• No copies of your media. Files stream from the source platform to your browser and are never written to our disk.
• No selling of data. We have no data worth selling, and would not if we did.

What we do process

Running a web service requires a small amount of technical data, and it would be dishonest to claim otherwise.

• Your IP address, held briefly in memory to enforce per-visitor rate limits. It is not written to a database and is not linked to what you downloaded.
• Standard server logs — timestamp, response status, and the platform category of a request (for example 'youtube'). We deliberately do not log the URLs you paste or the titles of media, because those are your content.
• The URL you submit is sent to the source platform in order to fetch the media you asked for. That is the entire point of the service.

Storage on your own device

We store one item locally in your browser: your light/dark theme preference. It never leaves your device and is not a tracking cookie. Clearing your browser storage removes it.

Advertising and third parties

This site is funded by advertising. Our advertising partners may set their own cookies or similar identifiers to measure and target advertisements, under their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

If you are in a region with cookie-consent requirements, you may be shown a consent prompt by the advertising provider. You can also limit this at the browser level by blocking third-party cookies, which will not stop the downloader from working.

Preview images

Thumbnails are relayed through our own server rather than loaded directly from the platform. This is a privacy improvement as well as a technical one: your browser never contacts Instagram's or Pinterest's image servers, so they receive nothing about you.

Children

This service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal data held about you. In practice we hold almost nothing: no account, no history, no profile. If you believe we hold data about you, write to us and we will confirm and act on it.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the date at the top of this page.
